I need to unlock and jailbreak my old iphone 2g that I sold online so I can ship it to the buyer. I have been trying to jailbreak it with both the 3.0 and the 3.1 fw. I am using the correct pwnage tool for each respective firmware. I have tried both simple and expert modes for both and I followed the guides on how to do this perfectly even though I have done jailbreaks several times before. Every time I do this I get an error message after selecting the custom fw. I do not have an AT&T sim card only a T-Mobile. Could this be the problem? Please help I appreciate any advice you can give me.
Sorry I tried just one at first and no one was responding and I wasn't sure which one would be best and I need to have this done very soon. Is it really that big of a deal?
