Wrong firmware bundle selected
Hi All
I am currently trying to jailbreak my 3g 8gb iphone. I downloaded pwnage 3.1.4 and pwnage 3.1.3 as well as firmware 3.0.1 3.1 3.1.2.
Every time i try to build a custom firmware, pwnage would tell me that "wrong firmware bundle selected"
Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks

Make sure you are downloading the correct FW restore for your phone. There are different ones for 3G and 3Gs. Also make sure you are selecting the correct phone when starting the app.

for a 3g phone, should i pick iphone or should i pick 3gs?
even weirder problem
when i picked 3gs it would recognize the 3.1.2 fw but would not recognize 3.0.1 or 3.1 fw.Last edited by lazyazn; 10-13-2009 at 12:55 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

the order of icons goes like this:
1st icon = original iPhone 2g
2nd icon = iPod Touch
3rd icon = iPhone 3G AND 3Gs

I let iTunes download the software, so there is no reason it would be the wrong firmware, but that is the error that I continue to receive...
Any help??

I am having the same problem. I have tried several different files and I continue to get the same "Bundle" error. I am trying to JB/Unlock a 2G iPhone. Can anyone recommend the correct ISPW file and location? Please???
Sal
Has anyone heard of these goobers? Is it worth the $30?

- Delete any firmware that you may have download through iTunes from ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
- Download iPhone1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw for iPhone 2G (Original) firmware 3.1.2.
Scam, don't pay for free software that they are ripping off.
