    Default just to be clear, 3G 3.1 can be broken, 3GS 3.1 cannot?

    read the dev team blog and im about to jailbreak two phones

    one is a 3G running 3.1 that has never been broken
    the other is a 3GS running 3.0.1 that has never been broken

    as i understood from their post, this should be fine, as it is only the 3GS that has to be broken first at 3.0.1

    but maybe i misunderstood?

    yes you're right
    3G is fine unless you need to unlock in which case use a custom firmware
    3GS isn't possible yet. unless you have previously JB on 3.0.1 or 3.0
    Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.
