Pawnage 3.1 for 2G iPhone, can I resuse ipsw on other 2G iPhones?
Hi
I have successfully upgraded from 3.01 to 3.1 for my 2G iPhone.
Seeing that Pawnage creates a custom_restore.ipsw for you that you then go into DFU and restore to the iPhone in iTunes, can I now go straight to that file and restore other 2G models without needing Pawnage again?
To me it seems that is what Pawnage 3.1 is there for, just to custom create the new file.
Am I correct in this thinking?

First off it's pwnage not pawnage. Idk why everyone always spells it like that....
And yes the firmware file can be used on all 2G iPhones.I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

Thanks for the feedback.
As for the spelling. Sorry I came from a generation where we spelt words as they should be, with vowels.
Texting has corrupted the languages. You maybe to young to understand that. But I appreciate the tech feedback. For that you get my thx.

pwnage comes from being 'pwned' which is an old misspelling of 'owned.' Somewhere somebody typed a 'p' in there instead of an 'o' when they were trying to talk (type) trash. For some reason it stuck and now it's just techy slang I guess.
After jailbreak, your iPhone has been 'pwned' (owned).
