I have a few Jailbreaking questions

I have a 3g iphone with the new 3.1 update already done. I have been reading for 2 days now trying to figure it out on my own but I cant. I have downloaded the pwn tool and I cant seem to open the file extention on my current comp. I am running win xp and it just wont open and I cant find the right program to open it with. I am just trying to jailbreak and not unlock. I have read alot of diff post but I dont see what im looking for. Thanks in advance for any help.

I was wondering why I couldnt find it for the pc. I been pulling my hair out looking for it. Can any1 tell me what the diff is in 3.0 to 3.1? I dont really see any diff but I only used my phone with the 3.0 for like a day or 2.

the difference between 3.0 and 3.0.1 is sms secretary thts it. Ppl where able to hack your text before
