    Default Help upgrade to 2.2.1 on Windows preserving baseband.

    Status:
    firmware 2.2
    jailbroken
    yellowsn0w
    Windows OS

    Anyone have instructions to update to 2.2.1 while preserving the baseband so that yellowsn0ww will work?

    just upgrade to 2.2.1 and then jailbreak it. Go to cydia and download fuzzyband downgrader. It downgrades your baseband to 2.28 then install yellowsnow again

    Fuzzyband Downgrader will not work if your bootloader version is 05.09.

    You should download and run Fuzzyband prior to using this method or you may upgrade your baseband and not be able to downgrade.
