Help a Newb?

Last night i d/l winpwn and attemted to jailbreak my phone. Everything went threw (from what i saw) except nothing showed up new on my phone other than the "connect to itunes" and the power up pictures i changed. I then plugged it into itunes and itunes could not connect to the phone, this is when it just stopped working and gave me the conect to itunes screen. OK so today i wake up, restore everything back to factory, loose all my info (contacts, email, etc) and im ready to try again. Ive done this step by step and sometimes i get a message saying the mem file is courupt or it tells me to plug into a diff usb port and stop using a hub. Can someone help out a new guy thats never done this before?

Iphone 3g versian 2.2.1 (5h11)
Firmware 02.30.03
Windows xp
winpwn 2.5
itunes 8 ( i believe thats the most current)
and yes i do have up to date dotnet framework

Winpwn is outdated, it wont work on the newer firmwares at all.

You need to use Quickpwn.
