Problem Jailbreaking 2.2.1 on Mac 10.5.6
I am having trouble jailbreaking my iPhone 3G on my Mac 10.5.6 using pwnage. I downloaded the iousbfamily315.4.1 file and installed it and now it is in DFU Mode, but whenever I go to restore the custom firmware there is always an error that says, "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1600)."
Does anyone know why this is happening? I didn't have any problems before I upgraded to 10.5.6 but I'm not sure how I can fix this now.
UPDATE: I am actually not sure if its in DFU Mode. I held down the power and home button for 10 secs and then released the power button while holding the home one down utill a message came up on itunes saying the iPhone is ready to be restored. but after it fails, it goes right back to the regular 2.2.1 springboard page,Last edited by jsharpe; 03-22-2009 at 07:02 PM.

i thought if you downloaded the file from ADC you could get into DFU Mode:

well i downloaded the file and installed it like they said. Then I restarted my computer and ran pwnage. I followed the instructions from pwnage on how to enter DFU Mode (Turn off iphone. Hold power and home for 10 secs. then hold home until iTunes message comes up) and iTunes brought me to the restore screen. I Chose to restore using the custom firmware and then it failed. I created another custom firmware, but it still did not work.
