What is the deal with Pwnage updates & 1600 error?
I'm getting real mad that I'm having trouble with PwnageTool. I'm supposed to be the go-to guy for this junk! I can't restore a 3G with a 2.2.1 Pwnage update. I always get error 1600. I tried installing the old IOUSB junk from the Apple Developer website and it made my Mac panic on boot. Thank God I use Time Machine.
How do I make the 1600 go away? I'm doing everything right...

try running that apple script
its on iclarified

I'm having the same problem in Windows... CFW always throws a 1600 error in DFU while original FW loads fine in DFU.

Then use usb hub on your mac if it does not solve your dfu issue.
For windows be sure you put it into dfu mode properly.It must be blank screen.
