The phone is not showing up in iTunes either. I just want to restore it now and get my phone back. Any suggestions?

I used quickpwn 2.2.5 on iPhone 3g.

Disregard... Discovered DFU mode...

To put the iPhone into DFU mode so you can do an iTunes firmware restore follow these steps:

Step One
Open iTunes and connect
the iPhone to your PC.

Step Two
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

Step Three
After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode

This happened to me unplug iphone from computer and open itunes. replug iphone and right when its shows up in itunes click restore you have to be quick because it only shows up for a few seconds. after you restore, jailbreak before you re-install apps. what happened to me was i had to many apps and when the phone would try to reboot after jailbreak it would keep rebooting. idk why but this worked for me.
