I have a new iphone 3g running 2.2 and 02.28.00 and would like to jailbreak but preserve the baseband just in case i wanna unlock at anytime. I would also like to upgrade to 2.2.1 if possible?

Can someone post me a link to the correct pwnagetool and custom fw i need as i'm getting myself all confused! Only ever used quickpwn before, so need to do a bit of reading first, is pwnagetool that much harder?

Pwnage tool is a Mac only program so if you're running Vista as your profile says it won't do you any good. You will have to search for a pre built custom firmware to download instead. If you have a mac then you can go to http://www.modmyi.com/forums/iphone-...2-5-5-osx.html and download the newest version.
