So I jailbroke my iphone a couple months ago. Once in awhile I get it where it goes to the Pinepple screen and locks there. This time it is STUCK. If I restore, eventhough the phone is unresponsive, with it let me do a restore? Will it then go back to factory setup and I will need to jailbreak again?

Being stuck on the Apple logo almost always has something to do with the com.apple.springboard.plist file. You should just connect with iphonebroswer or diskaid (mac) and go to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/ and delete the com.apple.springboard.plist file and then hard reset.

hey poseidon i have the same problem but diskaid cant find my phone. i think it is because im always stuck at the apple. any advice?

Sometimes it can take a couple minutes to register. If iTunes can see the phone then DiskAid can see the phone. If it won't boot up to that stage though then a full restore is the only way out.

Well I came home and tried to get it to sync with Itunes. No luck. Tried everything and finally it said it had to do a full restore. When it tarted a cartoon guy came on the screen with his hands in air with some russian letters coming from his mouth. It ran for awhile and said it couldnt continue. Phone will only do emergency calls. Reconnected and tried to sync again. It is currently syncing and phone now says "phone activated." We will see where this goes!

i have tried this method, but to no avail. a few bits of information: i am on a 2g iphone, and experienced this problem after uninstalling two apps from installer (namely mcleaner and ilog). do you think deleting the plist files for these apps will solve my problem? deleting the springboard plist file did nothing...any other suggestions? thanks
