Help with QuickPwn and PwnageTool

I'm a newbie with the 3G, so please forgive the questions...
And if I'm in the wrong forum.

But please do help.

I have a legally unlocked iPhone 3G version 2.2 (5G77) from Optus.
Using system MacOS X 10.5.6 and software iTunes 8.0.2.

I want to jailbreak and install Cydia.

My questions: is it safe with the above specifications?
Which is best method to do this; QuickPwn or PwnageTool?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Rico

Yes its safe, you can use quickpwn. You will not break your phone in anyway, just follow the directions and it will work just fine. If you don't want to have a jailbroken phone anymore just restore it with itunes its a simple process.

If you're using 10.5.6 you will have to run the USB driver patch so your mac will recognize your iphone in DFU mode in order to run quickpwn or pwnage.

Need info about 2.2.1 and QuickPwn 2.2.5

Have been using the firmware 2.2 jailbroken with QuickPwn 2.2 with no problems.

However since running the DFU mode patch for my 10.5.6, my System hung and had to go back to 10.5.4.

Have been hearing news how 2.2.1 is so much better and stable.
Is this true and worth it to upgrade?

And if so, is it just the same method using the QuickPwn 2.2.5?

Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

stuck in "Quickpwn is about to run on your iPhone"

HI,

Downloaded 9G55 (I`m on 10.5.6...) DFU fix, even re-downloaded Quickpwn again, but still stuck.

I have 2G (1st gen) iphone and was on 2.2.

What to do???

Thanks in advance.

As always thank you awesome iPhone Dev-Team

I don´t know why, but it seems to finally work.... First I downloaded the file Poseidon79 suggested.

Stuck.

Then I downloaded and ran the 9G55.

Stuck.

Then I ran Poseidon79 file again.... and it just worked!

Well, it´s syncing now, but I´m sure everything´ll be fine.

Cheers
