im a foreign exchange student in the us, and i purchased an iphone 3g 8gb which works perfectly. i am going back to my home country in five months, and i really want to jailbreak my iphone 3g before i go back, because i have to do it sooner or later.
1) i have AT&T contract
2) i have 2.2 fw iphone 3g 8gb
3) i have 02.28.00 baseband version
4) i have itunes 8.0.2 installed
5) i have backup made for my iphone
6) i have downloaded quickpwn2.2 for windows
7) i have downloaded fw 2.2 restore file
is it safe to do jailbreaking and is everything going to work ok afterwards? i really dont want my phone to stay locked
please, i've been searching the web for good tutorials, and i know this bothers you guys, but please help...
