So here is the deal. 1st gen Iphone. (windows) Been using it normally since I have AT&T. But today I decided to just jailbreak it so I can get cydia and so on....
So until today I had 2.2 version and I downloaded winpwn and followed the instructions.
It worked fine until it came to sync it to my previous user.... It is now that I realize that the software Ive "updated" to is 2.0.2 instead of 2.2.... I though 2.2 was available for jailbreak with windows? But maybe I mistaking...
Anyhow I cant sync it with my previous backup because its from a newer software version...
So questions...
Is it possible to winpwn 2.2 yet?
If not, what is the best solution... go back to standard 2.2 and wait until its possible or "create new phone" in itunes.
Use Quickpwn 2.2 instead. It will do everything winpwn does except integrated custom boot logos. If you're phone is still fresh 2.2 just quickpwn it. You can find it in our download section at the top. Winpwn has pretty much been abandoned since firmware 2.0.2 for some reason.
Worked GREAT... wish I had known that earlier.. took like 5 min
Poseidon79,
Another question, u seem to know how this works...
My girlfriends phone (1st gen) is jailbreaked and unlocked 2.0 but its done on her Mac... So I was thinking.. can she update (restore to latest version 2.2) on her Mac... since she doesnt have at&t it will be locked. Then I'll hook it up to mine and I'll do the quickpwn and Unlock it on my Windows and the she can resync it to her Mac?
Hope that wasnt too difficult to understand.
