    Default question about restoring

my iphone at the moment is first gen 2.2 pwnaged. i messed something up editing some files tht made cydia unusable. so now i want to restore. do i just shift click in itunes and restore using the custom 2.2 firmware file i made using the latest pwnage tool? or do i have to make a new one each time i restore?

You can use the file you already have if you want. You can also make a new one.

Well, you can just go straight to shift-click restore....BUT..

If Itunes gives you an error and wont restore...then you gotta do this:

    1. Make a new custom FW in Pwnage

    2. Use QUICKPWN, go through the process and after you place the phone into DFU mode and quickpwn ACTUALLY STARTS, your iphone screen will turn COMPLETELY WHITE....

AS SOON as the Iphone's screen turns WHITE, KILL/CLOSE QUICKPWN IMMEDIATELY.

If done properly, the iphone's screen will remain white....now you can shift-restore using your old custom FW file.
