    Default Upgrding With Pwnage

I just succeeded in unbricking a 3G iphone and even though Winpwn 2.5 kept crashing (4 times) but I had enough from the sequence to restore using iTunes. Now I have a 3G that has firmware 2.0.2. There are things on my 2G with firmware 2.1 that I can't get on my 3G. Should I upgrade again? What is the safest way to do this? I want to keep it safe for the upcoming program YellowsNoW (coming December 31) that will finally unlock the 3G. No more Gevey 3G! This is important...could you contact me at [email protected] .

You will need to build a custom ipsw with Pwnage.

I did use the custom as to upgrade to 2.2. However, I used a new Gevey 3G 2.2 sim chip to unlock the iPhone. But wait....was I happy? Nooooo....I had to download Yellows0w and install. Well, my 5 phone bars suddenly disappeared! I tried over and over to make it work but my reception was Gone With the Wind! I did remove the program, or did I? In 24 hours the phone started acting like it still had the yellowsn0w in it. No more signal....period. Well, hours later I was ready to throw the phone in the toilet and get one from AT&T for only $2400 (phone+service). I hit on an idea. Maybe there was another reason. I decided in a crazy idea. Downgrade the 3G firmware. It worked. Now I have 5 bars using the Gevey.
