3g with 2.0.1 with BB 01.48.02

I have 3g firmware 2.0.1 with baseband 01.48.02 and using 2.2 turbo sim with tmobile now. Phone works ok, but no edge. Should I update to official 2.1 and then custom firmware 2.2? I know dev team said the unlock supported with 2.17 or earlier... Any suggestions?

I think I set it up right...

I turn off 3g and turn on Data Roaming set APN to epc.tmobile.com and leave username and password blank.

I have reset network and tried several times, but never got edge icon to show up.

Do you have a "Data" plan on your Tmo account? You need either Tzones or the full data package.

I have t-zone. My wife's 3g with 2.2 BB 2.28.00 is currently working with t-zone. Should I update my BB to 2.17?

Try your wife's sim-adaptor in your phone just how it is first.

You could have a bad sim-adaptor. Those things are flaky.

Ok.I swapped tmobile sims(not turbo sims)with my wife's and mine is working now. Her's not. So the turbo sims are ok. I took the none working tmobile sim and put in my tmobile MDA and the edge is working with my MDA. I took it and inserted back to my 3g and it is also working now... Is it putting the sim back into my tmobile MDA reactive the sim?
