Unlocking a brand new iPhone 2G?

Hi!

I just got a brand new locked iPhone 2G from Apple and want to unlock and jailbreak it. I donīt know, which FW is installed on this iPhone.

First I tried to use QuickPWN 2.2 to unlock, but QuickPWN told me, that the FW is not supported.

Can I use Pwnage to install the 2.2 FW and unlock / jailbreak it, like in this tutorial?
