I restored to firmware 2.2 I am trying to jailbreak using quickpwn..put after several attemps I keep getting the same error saying that I followed the steps wrong or I have a faulty usb cable. can anyone Help?

start in dfu mode first so we know thats not the issue. then follow the guide here

Still won't work...I followed the guide...Did the instruction on time...also tried dfu mode by sound when the usb disconnects...it stops and gives me the error after it is uploading image..ohh and i also changed the usb cable

you dont need to be plugged in for dfu mode. dfu mode is what you need to start with before you even connect to the computer. it needs to show the connect to itunes thing BEFORE it even TOUCHES the usb cable. start there

^^^^if he wants to go to 2.2 he needs a custom ipsw created usage pwnage. so a mac user would need to send or host that for him. the link on that page im pretty sure is the one from apple. (not a good idea if he is not with att)
