Quickpwn about to run...
Hi All,
I'm in the process of using the Quickpwn 2.2 software on a fully updated 16G original iphone. When attempting to install the software all goes well until the loading screen which says quickpwn is about to run, then it never completes. The last thing the log reports is Successfully built Quickpwn Ramdisk file. I can then wait any length of time without response. Any clues?
i appreciate any help

Thats it. Quickpwn doesnt close or anything. Just wait till the iphone boots back up and all should be well.

^^Haha, yeah the phone should do some stuff afterwards and then reboot. Afterwards you should be good to go.

The phone should have booted up after quickpwn finished.

sure, the phone is unresponsive whatsoever and the spin thingy keeps spinning. If i were to disconnect it, i'd be able to turn on and use it as normal. I would of course only detach it after having closed the quickpwn program, itunes is open.
I should say the spin thing in the quickpwn app is spinning, and telling me that it is about to run. the phone however is all dark.Last edited by [email protected]; 12-03-2008 at 07:51 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

having the same problem with a first gen iphone. Everything works fine until it reads "quickpwn is about to run on your iphone"
I checked the log and and the latest log reads "Successfully built Quickpwn Ramdisk file"
But after 20 minutes I gave up. I've tried three times same problem.
Any ideas?
p.s. i jailbroke my 3g phone on windows no problem. im trying this first gen on 10.5.6 and having no luck.Last edited by turnandriver; 03-06-2009 at 12:34 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I'm having the same problem, just about ready to give up and restore back to v1.1.4
I really don't think quickpwn is "all that" seems like it works 1 time out of 20 (if you're lucky). If it works, there is immediate progress bar opening after you release the Home button according to the instructions.
Any help???

i was able to jailbreak my 3g no problem so i wondered why i couldnt get the first gen to work. Couldnt do it on a mac (which I have a feeling had to do with having the latest macbook and os 10.5.6 combination, or so ive read) and I wasn't getting it done on windows...but then!!!...
I downloaded this microsoft ".net framework" file (link below), installed on windows side and ran quickpwn. It worked!!!
