Help with 2G Tmobile settings

I have been doing searches here and on other sites for help with my issue. But I am without any luck. Hopefully someone here can help me out.

I have a 2G iPhone. I upgraded from 1.1.4 to 2.2 used Quickpwn.

Everything seemed to work fine. I can make and receive calls. I am using Tmobile. Their logo comes up top left. And the Edge network logo comes up. The issue is that there is no edge network. I go to Settings>General>Network but that is it. I have three things to choose from.

1. Data Roaming
2 VPN
3.Wi-Fi

Thats it! There is no option for anything else.

I tried looking into all 3 places to see if I was able to put the settings but nothing.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I would like to keep 2.2 if not I have no issue going back to 1.1.4.

I have tmobile on a 2g also. Go to settings, general, network, cellular data network, advanced. Where it says APN, type in epc.tmobile.com. Should work just fine.

Ok, sorry your missing my question. There is no option for me to do that. I dont have any other option to choose from. Thanks for a quick reply.

open cydia there is an apn fix in there to solve your problem

I had the same prob. Settings, general, network, cellular data network, apn then I typed in "internet2.voicestream.com" or " wap.voicestream.com" One of these should work.

Nothing that apn fix did not work. I am just gonna go back to 1.1.4 I really cant do without my edge network. I use it way too much. Thanks anyways.

Ok I just found out what the issue was. I followed the 2g guide here to use quickpwn and it was wrong. I clicked on downloads up top here by mistake and saw a firm ware for 2.2 for 2g. I used that one with quickpwn and presto!!! Everything works. Thanks everyone for tring to help me out.
