DFU:
1. itunes open, phone plugged in, phone off.
2. Hold POWER button for 5 seconds.
3. WITHOUT letting go of POWER...now hold HOME button for 10 seconds (both held)
4. Let go of POWER...CONTINUE to hold HOME button until Itunes recognizes phone as restore (usually about 10-20 secs)
5. Restore.

I restored using that method, but itunes said that there was an error: 1013
So what do I do, return it to the apple store? But since I jailbroke they would know, wouldn't they?

Still does not work. The error comes at the end of the restore, and it never completes......WHAT DO I DO??????????

Make sure you are in DFU mode.
STEPS:
1. Power off the iPhone
2. Hold POWER and HOME buttons for 10 seconds
3. Release the POWER button and keep holding HOME button for 10 more seconds
4. After that your iPhone screen should be blank and iTunes should say that the phone is in restore more.
Now restore it should work.
