Some Feedback Please???
|
The upgrade to 2.2 went bad. I think I understand why now. It seems that if you are on a locked phone, after you restore with ANY custom .ipsw, you MUST choose "Set Up New Phone" in iTunes. It seems that if you don't, the phone WILL NOT ACTIVATE on the network.
At this moment I am in the middle of restoring my phone back down to pwned 2.1 firmware, choosing set up new phone to activate it (it DID activate...wheww), and finally it is restoring all my apps.
When that is all done (it takes forever) I am going to use Cydia to install aptbackup to create a database of all my cracked apps and custom installs (Winterboard , BossPrefs, and Categories). Then I have to find a fresh copy of firmware 2.2 and pwnage it. THEN I have to do ANOTHER restore in iTunes. Remind me, why am I doing all this again!
Anyway...can someone PLEASE read all this and give me some feedback as to whether it sounds like I have all the bases covered to do it successfully this time.
Thanks
