In DFU with error 2001

Hey,

I just managed to get my bricked iPhone 3G into DFU mode, and now when it comes up in iTunes, I receive an error 2001. Anyone else have this problem, i need the phone for school and want to fix it this weekend

I'm having this problem too! Trying to use pwnage tool
Then in restore mode it gives me error (21).

When i try to use quickpwn it gets to the part where its supposed to send my iphone the files and it never says sending or anything. I'm not sure what i did but once i did something that made it say "sending..." but it never actually did anything.

When i try ziphone it says entering recovery mode and then goes into recovery mode and doesn't not say anything else. it just stays on entering recovery mode.

Hey mate, I actually managed to fix my ipod. I downgraded to iTunes 6, and did a restore. Once the restore was complete I could get the phone into the right DFU mode with the 'Connect me to iTunes' logo and then upgraded to iTunes 8 and restored.

Anyways I'm happy now, I have a phone, and I wont be JBing it for a while :S

Actually i had the problem then i went to my old macbook pro which apparently has the exact same version of PWNAGE tool and it worked perfectly

so i researched it more and found some talk about it being a problem with the new generation of macbooks 2008.. so if it helps try it on another computer...

However... it worked with 1 try on someone's mobile but i think thats cuz it was already pwned to 2.1 before...
