2G on 2.1... baseband seems corrupt? Need help

I unlocked my sisters iPhone using the pwnage tool about 3 weeks ago. It was working fine until yesterday the signal went out. My sister got a message saying that iPhone cant make or recieve calls and to contact apple support. Even iTunes wont sync with it anymore. I tried restoring with a custom firmware for 2.1 and it accepted the firmware but after it rebooted it ran BootNeuter 2.1, and its been frozen on "Please wait Determining current settings..." for 15 minutes. Not sure what to do. Not sure what could have happened. She said she didnt install anything new.
Not sure what to try at this point.
Im using a mac

tried restoring normal, and in DFU mode. Get error 1011.And the connect to itunes is on screen with the pic of the cable and itunes logo..
is this phone bricked?

ok i know this is going to sound way dumb but i had the same issue when i used Ziphone. try installing an earlier version of the firmware (1.1.4) and see if it works there. if that works then try moving back up again and seeing if that works for you. it sounds so stupid but it worked for me.

I have the same problem and I did the ziphone and got it back to 114 but now what do I do from there?

What itunes or you using? You we need 8.0 or higher to update to 2.1. Also set up as a new phone.
Then you can run QuickPwn to j/b & unlock. quickpwn21-1.zip

I'm using 7.5 to do the 114 and it's at the point where I can make emergency calls only in 114 then I delete itunes 7.5 install 8.0 then update to 2.1 pwn it with 2.1 then it gets stuck at the same thing in the bootneuter like this guys here. Any ideas?
