Default Pwnage tool hangs at "wait for your iPhone to connect in recovery mode

Hi. I have a 2G iPhone 2.1. When trying to jailbreak it using Quickpwn, I get to the steps (holding down all the buttons, etc), but I can't get past the first step. How long is it supposed to take to "wait for my iPhone to connect in recovery mode?" I've been sitting here for 15 minutes. Thanks

It shouldn't take that long. The whole process of jailbreaking took me about 3-5 minutes.

Just wondering. Your itunes is closed? Did you extract/unrar quickpwn before running it?

Make sure you have iTunes 8.0.2, Quickpwn 2.2, and an iPhone that has a fresh restore of firmware 2.2.

Are you using the version of Quickpwn that has the mobileinstallation file change in it or the standard version of Quickpwn? The one with the mobileinstallation file in it caused me lots of problems.

I was having the same problem as well. It got stuck before the recorery mode. I went to blog.iphone-dev.org and downloaded their quickpwn and it worked fine. Make sure you have the 2.2 version.
