I used Winpwn to try and jailbreak my 16gb iPhone 3G so I could use Installer and Cydia again and after the ispw firmware file was built I clicked on it to install it with iTunes and got this error message in iTunes:
iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because "an invalid response was received from the device"
I previously attempted to jailbreak with quickpwn and found that the custom Winpwn bootloader came up but Cydia and Installer did not show at all so I tried the default Custom option of Winpwn instead.
Is there any way for me to fully reset my iPhone without the use of iTunes? I really need to have my phone be able to sync with iTunes so any and all help is appreciated.
- Windows XP:
CDocuments and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes or CDocuments and Settings\USER0\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes
- Windows Vista:
CUsers\USER\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\ or CUsers\USERS\AppData\Apple Computer\iTunes
In XP the mentioned folder is a hidden one...
Set your folder options to display hidden system files and folders...
That way the folder...though greyed out..will became visible...
Let's just say there is absolutely no way for me to restore my phone with iTunes (Literally I have tried EVERYTHING) Is there anyway for me to restore my phone without iTunes? If not I have a $300 vegetable because nothing is working. Please! somebody help me!
