So I'm trying to jailbreak an iPhone 3G 2.1 with the Pwnage Tool 2.1 for Mac OS X. I have the latest software for iTunes/OS X/ etc. and have made sure to have the correct IPSW for my firmware and have even downloaded one from the guide here, but keep hitting this issue.

The Pwnage Tool appears to be hanging when it gets to the first part of the IPSW making process where it's unzipping the file to "/tmp/ipsw/" or something like that. I left the tool on for an hour, but no progress was made.

Any assistance would be great!
