Why when I download the 2.0 firmware from Hack That Iphone I get a folder?

My problem is that when I download the 2.0 firmware file it turns into a folder instead of the .ipsw file that should be in the Itunes Software Update. Any Ides? thanks again.

The site I got the 2.0 firmware file is called: Hack that Phone - Step 1: Unlocking 1st generation iPhones

When the download is complete it turns into:
iPhone1,1_2

Any ideas of what is my problem?

Your OS is just not adding the .ipsw I would assume... Just add it manually

Sounds like you are using safari to download it - from my understanding, safari extracts it automatically for you on download and that's bad. Download the file with firefox and you should be fine.

Just look in the trash bin. After extracting the .ipsw into a folder, safari puts the original file in the trash. Just get the .ipsw out and trash the folder.

umm one more thing sorry to bug you all again but I downloaded the file on my windows portion of my mac and transfered it over and now I have a zip file...it still isnt an .ipsw file is this a problem?
