will restoring delete sms's

If i restore the iphone in the jailbreaking process of the quickpwn for windows will it delete my sms ? is there any way to save a thread of sms ? please help

make sure to back up in iTunes first!

so how does that work ? how do i back it up in itunes and once i back it up how do i reput it in iphone after jailbreak, thanks alot!

You just select backup under options. As soon as you connect your restored phone to itunes it will ask if you want to restore from the backup of "insert whatever you named your phone here" The backup options are located where the syncing options are.
