pwnage tool cant find 2.1 fw

i have pwnage tool 2.0.3 and im trying to update my fw to 2.1 from 2.0.1
now when i click on expert mode on pwnage and it looks for all the fws. it finds 2.0 and 2.0.1 but it does not find 2.1 and when i manually look for it, it says "wrong firmware bundle selected"

any ideas???

Hmmm let me think....Probably because Pwnage 2.0.3 doesn't support firmware 2.1

hmmm...thats odd then. when i was in pwnage tool i click on check for updates and it said it was already up to date...so i thought i had the latest update. thanks tho


update: i just updated my pwnage tool to 2.1 and its still giving me the "wrong firmware bundle" error....back to square 1.

Because you must first uninstall the old pwnage before installing the new 2.1 Uninstall 2.1 that you just put on and then re-install.

on mac, i sent my pwnage tool app to the trash. then i re-downloaded pwnage tool 2.1 and started it up again. and still get the same error

You can't just send it to the trash. You must uninstall it so that it removes any files it creates so you start clean.

Did you update to f/w 2.1 from itunes? Did you uninstall the old pwnage tool and then install the new pwnage tool?

I just discover your problem, you download the firmware for the 3G phone, just download the correct firmware for a 2G phone
