Help please : My Jailbroken 3g stuck in pineapple screen

my iPhone 3G 2.0.2 i jailbreak it few days back
today i wanted to give it to my brother so i did full reset for the iphone
setting >general > reset > erase all content and setting
and it stayed for almost 1 hour when it finished it run the pineapple screen
and in the middle of the pineapple there were a white scrolling thing that kept scrolling on top of the pineapple
it keep like this with no response
i tried to connect it to itunes but it does not show up (running itunes 8 on leopard 10.5.4)
plz plz plz help me out if it didn't work i will be F*****

any help is highly appreciated

1. you need to enter DFU mode
2.once you have done that and you havee got a blank screen open iTunes
3.it will ask you to restore it to factory setting. press ok
4.wait until its done.

ps make sure you have it backed up
