I recently upgraded to 2.1 using Pwnage on my 3G however since this update my "stock" apple headphones no longer work as a mic or to control music playback (they still work fine as regular headphones). I tested the headphones on other 3G iphones (non jailbroken) and they still work perfectly for music playback and as a mic.

Can anyone else confirm this on a jailbroken iPhone 3G with the 2.1 update?

I'm on 1.1.4 2g phone done with ziphone...
I want to go to fw2.1 using pwnage tool 2.1

If I sync my phone first

Can I do this all with pwnage 2.1 and iTunes 7.x?
or do I have to upgrade to iTunes 8?
I've read mixed reviews on the iTunes part of all this.
Also, when I restore using the custom ipsw...
has pwnage tool saved all my previous settings in the custom ispw it created?
any help would be great.
