I downloaded Grip's custom firmware and did a shift+restore and everything works flawlessly!! Cycorder works perfectly, but Intelliscreen is not working for me.**Correction - Intelliscreen is working now! 2.1 is pretty smooth!!

how are u guys able to select the cfw?????? for ****'s sake will someone tell me already? i've been waiting for like 2 hours, more than enough time. Somehow everyone gets a reply and my post is ignored. ******* weird. now my phone is stuck in restore mode and getting a ******* error 6.
So please I am begging you, how did you select it? Normal Shift + restore is not working, it goes to "Extracting Software directly".

No dfu - I didnt do that. Just shift+restore and let 'er go. I used Grip's custom firmware too - Zero problems. Of course, then select the custom fw after shift/restore ...

ya windows non-at&t user, on itunes 8, trying to restore using cfw 2.1.problem is, it failed the first time and now its stuck in DFU mode. Shift restore didnt even work the first time.
I had to replace the firmware in the "Application Data" folder because everytime i pressed shift restore, itunes DIRECTLY went to "Extracting Software" it didnt ask me to locate the cfw, it was extracting the official 2.1 backed up by itunes. So now I'm getting error 6 when i try to restore using a cfw, but it restores just fine when i use the official firmwareLast edited by aayman_farzand; 09-13-2008 at 04:13 PM.

Im wondering the same thing timmy... With this custom firmware we dont even have to pwnd our own phones anymore so I dont see why people are having so much trouble. I guess i'll know how good it works after its done downloading.
