External Speaker not working Iphone 2G

I cannot hear anything from my external speaker I can only hear my music when I dock my iphone into a ipod speakers or when I plug in my headphones in. Also when I am on a call if I put the call on speaker I still can't hear anything everything else works fine. Any one can help please

Common problem. Been listening with headphones recently???

Take a set of headphones, stick the jack in the top hard and pull out FAST. Repeat if necessary. Sometimes the 2G doesn't "see" that you've removed the headphones and so drives all of the sound to the headphone port. This cures it.
