Quick Pwn Problem Can you help??

I just recently unlocked my 2g iphone through att because i didnt want to pay the extra for the data plan. I used quick pwn and it works great. The only thing is now i have the little E symbol next to my service indicator. I know this is Edge, what iphones use to get internet. I was able to connect to the internet without being connected to wifi. Does this mean I will be charged for data usage and is my phone constantly using this Edge? Please help if its free i wnat to use it if not can i shut it off?

its not free, I dnt think u can shut it off via ur phone though, u'll probably have to just use ur wifi. But At&t keeps that E there to tempt us! Its like signal ur gonna get it. They charge by the amount of data u use on the network, dnt think its much though.

You can turn if off if you have Boss Prefs installed on your phone.
