Default Question about boot and recovery logos

Random question, obviously I see my boot logo whenever I power on my phone...but when does the recovery logo come up? I have never seen it

It comes up when the iPhone is kicked into Restore or DFU. This is not something you should be looking forward to.

For the boot logo... as one can customize it... does somebody know perhaps immediately what the restrictions are? Size of the file? Pixel? Thanks!

Found the answer already in another forum - but will post the answer here for other useres who might be interested:

the file has to be a .png file
    max size 319x479
