Mail not working after Pwnage

anyone have any ideas? i click on Mail, it acts like it's going to work then just goes right back to the Home Screen.

The permissions on the mail folder are incorrect (it’s owned by root). The easiest fix is to run bossprefs, click more, and click “fix user dir permissions”. You may need to reboot.

im having a prob with mail too but it only crashes when i triy to send mail in comming works fine any ideas???
