what's with all of these posts about wifi probs after pwning?

any of you ever encounter any of these probs?
Speaking to my previous post, and yes I have been jailbreaking for quite awhile now and know how to follow directions. When I pwn'd my phone with Pwnage 2.0.3, my WiFi would suddenly and randomly drop the connection. Also, it did not cache the keychain so every time I tried to reconnect to my home router, it would ask for the password again. Very annoying.

This was fixed in version 2.0.3.1 and when I re-pwn'd, the problem went away. I think it's pretty evident the problem was with Pwnage, not my use of it.

After all the hours and hours I spent trying to figure this out that is what caused the problem? This was a major issue on my 1st gen iphone from the time I winpwned on 1.1.4. Given that I use my iPhone as a reading in bed substitute when the light HAS to be out for my other half to sleep. My room is about as far away from my router as you can get. My wifi constantly kicks on and off due to my neighbors signal being stronger than mine. My workaround was to shut off wifi. One reason I love the 3G. Ironically the wifi sticks better on the 3G.

Lazer, When I first jailbroke my iPhone, I was a member of this site for less then 24 hours. All I did was follow the instructions to the letter and I never had any troubles. I have jailbroken 10 iPhones so far and all of them work like a charm. (all have been 2.0.1 mind you). My advice is as followed if you wanna avoid any problems:

1. Always follow the directions
2. When jail breaking, make sure you free up as much of your computer's resources as possible. Its good to have a decent computer when doing this stuff. (I had a friend who had a shitty computer who jail broke and his iPhone crapped out on him)
3. When in doubt, ask. The people at this forum are very helpful people. They certainly helped me!
4. never rush. Always double and triple check your progress when time allows (which is always when jail breaking)

Jailbroken since 1.0 with only minor annoyances (no ringtone, visual voicemail crash) but all problems were fixed with a restore and rejailbreak. i say just do it.

ive done it for every firmware since 1.1.1, and back in those days jailbreaking was a hell of allot more risky than it is now.

also, any problem i have ever run into i have managed to fix, with help mainly from MMi and a couple others...

IMO it is definetely worth it. unlocking my phone to see the same old boring icons every day is enough by itself to make me jailbreak
