Expert Mode: Bootneuter on / off?

Hi!

I have already pwned (unlock & jailbreak) my iPhone 2G. Now I want to install the 2.0.1 firmware again.

If I use the expert mode to build my custom fw, do I have to check or uncheck the Bootneuter option?
Further, in "General", I donīt know if it is OK to check "Activate" or not.

I ask, because I donīt want to do dangerous things, if not needed.

Best wishes, Birke

Boot Neuter

Hi Birke,

I wont even attempt to pretend I know anything about Boot Neuter / Basebands or all that other techno-babble, however I do have an answer to your question.

When I restore my iPhone using the initial firmware I made (Boot Neuter On) It simply says "unlocking baseband, this may take a few mins" or something like that - then pops up and says "no need, it's already done" so the short answer is if you have an iPhone without a contract, leave it in - it won't neuter itself twice.

BTW if I'm wrong, just restore with Apple's firmware

Gareth
