backing up 2.01 3g jailbroken?

hey guys,

been having fun with this for the past few days. seesm to work but then at random times when i turn off / restart the phone I get the apple logo and nothign more. End up doing a full reinstall from apple (ie from backup of custom firmware) and all is well again.

anyways...

problem is I always have to start again, ie install all cydia stuff again etc.

is there a way to backup the phone once you get it how you want it and choose that image as the restore?

hope that makes sense.

oh, and anyone else having that issue?

I dont have that issue, but I dont think you can back up your Cydia installs because you'll be restoring from a Custom Restore ISPW, and that was created before you can even install Cydia stuff.

I've wondered this myself.. but I always just restore from my ISPW files and have to redo all the Cydia stuff.
