I am having the exact same problem. I have uninstalled Winpwn, deleted the CMW folder, restarted the computer, etc. Every single time I try to build the custom firmware, the program shuts down without warning.

For me, Winpwn crashes only if I select Installer. However, when I only chose to install Cydia and the Youtube Activation fix, Winpwn created the custom IPSW with no hitches.

I know that some people prefer Cydia over Installer and vice versa. Are these programs that different? Don't they essentially have the same sources (i.e., programs)? What makes one better than the other (or is it just personal preference)?
