I get the feeling that this has to do with corrupted permissions. Perhaps one of the mirrors is hosting a Pwnage Tool with corrupted permissions. Which mirror did all of you use?

I used Rapidshare. I talked to someone who used Zippy and their Cydia is working fine. I'm building another ispw right now with the Zippy pwnage. We'll see if it changes anything.

Yes....5B108 downloaded straight from iTunes.
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service (pwnage tools 2.0.2)
Unchecked Activation.
Set my partition at 1000MB.
Added both Cydia and Installer.

btw, wifi works, 3G signal works.
Email push works. (gmail, yahoo)
Changed springboard strings successfully.

Okay. So you're Megaupload and the other one was Zippy.

I'm thinking maybe the Rapidshare has bad permissions....

Whelp, I think I found the problem.

After restoring with the Pwnage Tool from ZippyShare, CYDIA WORKS!!

If you downloaded from Rapidshare, I think that's the problem. I think the Rapidshare has corrupted permissions.

I told Dev Team and they took down the Rapidshare link. That should alleviate all Cydia issues. I think the Rapidshare upload was the problem.

Relax and take your time to get what you need. There are many peeps victimized by updating the 2.0.1 Firmware via iTunes. Coments from the (DEV Team)...
Quote:
The dev team warns iPhone user that you should not upgrade to firmware 2.0.1 via iTunes. Wait until PwnageTool 2.0.2 is released and upgrade to 2.0.1 with a custom ispw. Upgrading directly via iTunes will lessen the chances of you being able to unlock in the future. The dev team is still working on a 3g unlock solution.
The DEV Team are working hard to fix these problems, so do not rush into things.

PwnageTool 2.0.2

Changes and Fixes:

iPhone/iPod firmware 2.0.1 5B108 support
Added new Cydia build
Added Installer BETA - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Added new Custom Package command “RunScript”
Added French, Hungarian and Russian language localizations
Added path for custom packages “~Library/Application Support/PwnageTool/CustomPackages/”
Various bugfixes

I have tried 4 different mirrors now, built 4 custom firmwares, and have had 4 non-working Cydia installs. Doesn't seem like a problem with the mirrors to me. Anyone have any suggestions? Kind of pointless without Cydia working.

EDIT: Tried this particular one and it works fine, Cydia and all...

Not sure why the zippyshare link on iphwn didn't work for me.

I'm suffering from the same Cydia problem, resetted my settings, reflashed the ipsw, didn't help.

I redownloaded Pwnage from your link and it was bit-identical to the file I already had (which probably came from a rapidshare link, don't really remember). Can't really be the mirror therefor.

My Cydia problems might have been related to "the unarchiver" which might have unpacked the tar file. If you're suffering the same problem, please check how you've decompressed it.
