We are just hours, if not minutes away from the new Pwn tool for iPhone's software 2.0.1 and of course it is for Macs only. Win should be soon afterwards.

You can expect a new version of Cydia, which should be much less buggy and an all new look.

The dev team did release this warning...
If you care about the possibility of a GSM/3G unlock in the future (there is no unlock available as yet), do not update your 3G device with iTunes unless you do it via PwnageTool 2.0.2 (this means you値l need to create a custom .ipsw with PwnageTool 2.0.2 and install it using iTunes) - If you have updated over the last few days with iTunes, you値l still be able to Jailbreak using PwnageTool 2.0.2 but it may reduce the chance of you being able to unlock the Phone to be able to use a SIM card from all carriers in the future.

Does that apply only to the iPhone 3G or to all the iPhones in general?

As a rule of thumb, as long as you enjoy jailbreak and want the maximum options of your iPhone, NEVER upgrade without waiting and seeing what your options are. There have been no updates with so many futures that it was a wise decision and upgrade via iTunes before the jailbreak methods were released. And in every case, waiting for the official jailbreak provided great rewards. If you are a noob (or experienced), patience is further rewarded by waiting just a day or two more and seeing what kinds of problems the early jailbreakers are having, reading their mistakes and fixes, so that your upgrade is smooth.

If anybody using a mac could go ahead and make a custom 2.0.1 firmware when the new pwnage comes out could upload the custom .ipsw so us on windows could use it to jailbreak, that would be nice. That way we dont have to wait on winpwn.

The good news is that the new pwnage will have Installer 4 (beta).
