A new version was just posted on Main Page - WinPwn. Hopefully this fixes all of my and your problems with this program.

The new version being 2.0.2 or something. I am downloading now.

UPDATE: I downloaded and tried out the new version 2.0.0.2 and was successful. It solved my problem with not being able to create the custom .ipsw file. Everything seems to be running smoothly.

Is it not working for you? You may need to wait a little bit because it was practically just released.

I hope this helps at least someone, but I kept having troubles no matter what i tried and then restored the 1st gen IPhone but didnt let it back up the IPhone so it was a freshly restored phone then went back to build the isp and seems to have worked fine.

So right now im still at the 2.0 345 firmware. Firstly i have to restore to firmware 2.0 347 for this all to work correct? Then everything is straight forward? Anyone have success doing this specially with the 2.0.0.2 version?

Im also on the Rogers network. Do i follow this guide to the "T"?

Hi,

I tried pwning the 3G phone using the latest version of pwn released today.
I was able to create the custom ipsw, but when I connect to itunes and try to restore the iphone with this custom version then it gives me an error saying " there is some problem not able to restore error 6".

Please help !!
