Cydia iphone 3g and summerboard

Ok i want to use summerboard. I have a jailbroken 3g and cydia. Every thing i have seen says use installer app to install summerboard. How do i get that. I dont have a shortcut on my spring board for installer app. I am sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am new to the iphone new to apple and new to jailbreaking anything. It took me about 4 hours to figure out how to get it all done last night. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Installer is not ready for firmware 2.0 yet. Cydia is the only option at the moment.

ok i can handle that. so what can i use to mod my themes and add a pict to the spring board using cydia

Are the Devs working to port Customize and Summerboard to the 3G? I haven't found much anywhere that says that anyone is working on Jailbreak 3G apps. Everyone seems to be happy with the SDK.

Moppsy's link says that Customize is now 2.0 compatible and that we can dl from Cydia...but when I check the list of apps (I just pwnd my 2.0 non-3G) I don't see Customize. How can I dl and install it?

I'm fine with being patient...but that link is to customizeapp.com and it clearly states on the webpage that we can download Customize 2.0 on Cydia. So where is it? If it's not available I'm not going to complain...I can be patient...but the website is confusing. Please somebody explain.

some stuff on the site was old.

2.1.0 is out for iphone fw 2.0. now its on the site now
does not work yet.should be on cydia soon.

i just installed it on my phone but like it says on customize's forum, i can download and look through the application, but they themes do not actually apply..

How do I get Cydia App? I already downloaded Pwnage and restored my phone but have no idea what to do next? My main goal is to get NES games on my iPhone 3G.

It's sort of funny how people think what package manager you use affects what programs you can install.

The reason there's not as many programs on Cydia in 2.0 as Installer in 1.0 is because those programs have not been ported to 2.0 yet.

Imagine if someone just installed Linux on their previously Windows computer. How hard would you laugh if they told you:

who makes Summerboard / SMB Prefs??? Are they porting this over for use on fw 2.0?

The Customize is already out, not sure if you noticed that already and I'm still searching for some news about the Summerboard App. (too me they worked best together) Make sure that you're keeping up with all the updates.
