MACs are super stable compared to PC.
The drawback is the lack of plentyful SW around... but it all depends on what u r gonna use it 4
I have both - and I use the MAC for work n video and the PC for gaming and stuffDo hope that helps

I would mostly use it for msn, myspace, youtube, itunes, facebook, just surfing the web in general. That kind of stuff. No gaming or anything just web stuff.
My dell was 1.8Ghz.
Big difference? or what?
Thank You(=

Then it really does not matter much.
One thing is clear though. Surfing on a PC using IE is just a nightmare nowadays...as IE repeatedly crashes. But if u use Firefox it is quite OK.
On MAC using Safari u will have no problems.Do hope that helps

Safari is a native MAC browser - it is quicker and more stable on a MAC
Do hope that helps

Well the RAM should be up:ed if possible - otherwise u should be OK.
You never get enough RAM....
Personally I prefer a slower, but STABLE mashine....which a PC can't compete with

No!
Don't buy a mac with any PowerPC processor. At the very least get a Core Duo. They're going for below $500 on eBay and they're way faster.. you won't even be able to go on youtube with a G4 without trying to pull your hair out.

The processor has marginal effect on web loading times - it is the RAM that is important (and the web con obviously...)

What's your budget?
The processor has everything to do with flash performance on macs. Flash is fatally flawed on OS X and it will eat any iBook for breakfast. It's tolerable on my Core 2 Duo.

I'm not confusing anyone. Google "iBook choppy youtube performance" and you'll come up with plenty of answers. You will regret buying a G4 iBook. $300 is way better spent on a windows laptop.. for about $400-500 you can get yourself a used Core 2 Duo late 2006 Macbook that will be much better off and will still run windows if you have the need.
