    Default 3GS iOS5 semi-tethered jailbreak?
I havent saved any SHSH blobs for previous iOS versions (stuck on 4.3.5) so I cant downgrade to get an untethered jailbreak/unlock. I heard of a semi-untethered jailbreak that works for iOS5... Is there an unlock that can support it?

The semi-tether jailbreak is not an actual jailbreak. "Semi-Tether" is a cydia app.

For example, you have a 3GS on 4.3.5, you jailbreak with redsn0w but obviously it would be tethered, once jailbroken, you would open cydia and search for "semi-tether", install "semi-tether". "semi-tether" would allow you to reboot after you power down without connecting to a computer and completing a tethered-boot through redsn0w, however there are drawbacks like you will not be able to open cydia, safari, and some are reporting the email app also not working after rebooting with "semi-tether", but you would be able to make calls and use some other stock apple apps.

And IMO I don't like how buggy iOS 5 is on a 3GS so I would stick with iOS4 until apple works out the kinks.

Also, you can refer to this thread for more info. Semi-tether
