Snowbreeze 2.3 Beat 4 on top of Snowbreeze?
Hey everyone...
I was wondering if it is possible to jailbreak over a previous version of snowbreeze using Snowbreeze 2.3 Beta 4 without starting from a fresh restore. I have an iPhone 4 running 4.3 firmware.
Sn0wbreeze 2.3 Beta 4 For iOS 4.3 Released; Allows Users To Unlock iPhone 4 Baseband 01.59.00, iPhone 3GS Basebands 05.13.04 Or Earlier Using Ultrasn0w – iPhone Hacks
I want to do this in order to use winterboard and fix a few other issues I'm experiencing. I previously jailbroke using Snowbreeze. I would also like to be able to use some of the multitouch gestures available with the new version of snowbreeze and I'm wondering what type of gestures are available. Is this possible, or do I have to restore to factory settings with itunes first?
Please feel free to elaborate on why or why not it will work...
Thanks in advance...
I've done a good bit of googling and I haven't been able to turn up anything indicating one way or the other.Last edited by MBrien85; 03-25-2011 at 12:05 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

You can create a new custom fw with the updated sn0wbreeze and restore to it just fine without restoring to a stock firmware.
It will be ok, so long as you put it into pwned DFU mode first before restoring to the new custom fw (as you may already know
)

Yes it'll will erase jb data.
It can not work for various reasons. The jb is buggy in beta stages.
